You're right. The mascot issue is a stupid idea. To continue this racist, hateful tradition is absolutly stupid... and for all those who turn a blind eye to it, poking fun at those fighting to right indigenous wrongs, are also quite stupid. Various forms of racism have been accepted by Americans for hundreds of years, but that does not make them right. Women had to fight for their rights, as did African Americans and so on. Now it's time to FINALLY do the same for indigenous people. The mascot issue is a step in the right direction and with time, it will be seen as the racist act that it is.
